- How did you use Evernote and the Evernote Web Clipper to support your work in this course?
- I used Evernote as a way to collect resources for different research projects. I found the web clipper useful because it was easy to access my resources at later dates. For example, when revising my Context Report, I was able to quickly find the resources I used a month ago. I really like that this feature makes everything so accessible. In the past I would have to copy and paste the links I used into a word document, or go through my search history. I will definitely continue to use the web clipper in my future course work.
- Evernote was very useful in providing ways to save all important and interesting information that I came across in my research.
- I agree with this statement. Evernote made saving information very simple. There were many charts, graphs, and tables that I was able to save on evernote, that helped support research in my Contexts Report and Issues Around Reform project. I was also able to save files that I found on the library databases. One interesting tool in evernote that I used was the recording feature. I was able to record Diane Ratvitchs speech at the Honor's colloquium. In the future, if I have a difficult lecture, I may use this tool to record information.
- How do you think that viewing your notes as a lasting resource might affect how you participate in future courses.
- As an education major, I can see myself going back to my Evernote resources in the future. The resources I came across in this course were thought provoking and pertinent to what I want to do in my future. I used Evernote to take notes during many of the honor colloquiums, specifically the Diane Ratvitch colloquium. These notes offer a lot of insight towards how children learn and how schools should be run. In my own classroom, I wish to remember these tips and Evernote will allow me to reflect on how to be a successful teacher.
